Nancy Wallace
Mid-Atlantic Regional DirectorPrior to her role as Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, Nancy Wallace was the Director of International Operations for the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, where she oversaw 11 foreign offices and supervised a domestic team of international trade and investment executives focused on helping Maryland businesses gain a foothold overseas, and launching programs to bring foreign companies into the state. As she manages High Street Partners’ DC area office and spearheads the firm’s programs to attract overseas companies entering the US, Nancy’s proven ability to work effectively in multi-cultural environments, manage diverse staff and meet financial goals will benefit HSP and clients alike.
Over a 20 year career, Nancy has developed in-depth knowledge of business practices in regions worldwide, extensive experience of market development activities, and expertise in project design and management. Her range of experiences has included work in economic impact, market analysis, training, site selection, permits, licensing and certification, immigration procedures, financial incentives, technology and manufacturing support. A key player in the success of Maryland’s “Rep”, which offers companies an entry process into nine foreign markets, Nancy has also worked extensively with business incubators, government agencies, and overseas consultants and service providers.
Previously, Nancy served as Director of International Marketing and Trade Development for the Maryland Department of Agriculture, where she advised the Secretary, Governor’s Office and other state officials on activities and policies to enhance Maryland’s international trade. She also worked with the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, and with Stanley Associates in many international locations, including Moscow, where she trained US Foreign Service personnel assigned to the newly independent states. Nancy has lived and worked in countries around the globe, and has held positions with the USAID/Africa Bureau and DevTech Systems. She served with the Peace Corps in Nicaragua and Sierra Leone.
