| 30 January, 2006 - Annapolis, MD – High Street Partners, an international business consulting firm providing accounting, finance and operational assistance to emerging companies as they expand overseas, today announced the appointment of Scott Aldsworth as Vice President and East Coast Regional Director.
In his new position, Mr. Aldsworth will have management responsibility for the firm’s Boston office, where he will develop and lead the firm’s East Coast client service team and extend the firm’s referral network. His extensive experience in international business, primarily in Western Europe and developed Asian countries, will be of benefit as he expands the firm’s reach and provides account management services. Mr. Aldsworth has over 15 years of experience supporting the financial and operational growth of high profile start-up technology organizations. Expert in the financial complexities and analyses required by overseas expansion and well known in the venture capital industry, he is a seasoned executive who, together with Larry Harding, form the senior leadership of the HSP team. One of his primary objectives will be to expand the firm’s footprint in the New England tech region, where the firm’s current clients include Acme Packet, Ellacoya Networks, Enpocket, BCGI and Color Kinetics. “We’re very pleased that Scott has joined High Street Partners to help us launch this exciting new phase of development,” said Larry Harding, President of High Street Partners. “We discovered in 2005 that the market potential for our services and methodology is enormous. We expect Scott and the east coast team he’ll build will quickly extend our reach as the go-to advisor for emerging companies expanding overseas.” With his due diligence and financial modeling background and his knowledge of the operational issues faced by US companies expanding internationally, Mr. Aldsworth brings valuable perspective to HSP’s clients focused on maximizing their overseas investments, and to the venture firms which assist in funding them. He most recently served as Managing Director for Sequel Management, where he raised capital for three buyouts, totaling more than $1.0B. Previous positions include VP of Mergers and Acquisitions for Interliant, where he completed 28 acquisitions of internet service companies in 3 years. Prior to that, Scott was Senior Director at UNIFI Communications, where he negotiated contracts and managed the compliance requirements with telecommunications vendors and carriers in 30 countries while building their extensive international communications network. He holds a BA in Finance from Babson College. An avid cyclist, he participates annually in the Pan-Mass Challenge and raises significant donations for cancer research. |
